Have loaded Elements 3.0 successfully. However, when trying to open the program, the program will initiate to the point of having the banner screen script read "Scanning for Plug-ins…." then it stops and the only way to clear it is to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and stop the task.

I’m running Windows XP and have Symmantec Virus protection and Zone Alert. Have disabled Zone Alert and tried to start the program….same result.

Help please!

What are your system specs. I would do more than disable ZA. I would try to unload it from start up. ZA was really resource heavy on my machine…So much so, that I ended up removing it. PSE is also resource heavy…but I use it. 😉
