How do I create a batch job that makes changes AND saves files?

I can record actions to make changes to files.
But… I seem to not be able to save files in specific names. For example, I want to make 10 images smaller, and want to save the new version as originalName.small.jpg.

How can I do this?

I would have thought that you would need a script to make the new naming?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

File – Automate – Batch
Now look at the lower half of the dialog window.
It says "Destination"
Press the little arrow beside the window that says "None" Select Folder
Now the options for naming files appears just below it.
Document Name + ".small" + extension
But I would not use ".small". "_small" is my preference.

Done!
