CS2 background batch processing camera raw files

I had heard that ACR in CS2 would support true background batch processing. While I can get ACR 3 to batch process, I can’t do anything else in Photoshop CS2 until the batch queue is empty. Is there any way to get true background processing of RAW files in Photoshop CS2? – Thanks!
