strong yellow cast in photoshop element

I have this problem on my new LCD screen. Pictures I opened in PS Element are shown witht a very obvious yellow cast, also it’s much brighter than it should be. However, the pictures saved after whatever processing have the normal color (even in the preview windows with PS). I never had this problem on other computers, or monitors. This is quiet annoying as you can imagine. The LCD is Samsung 710N.

I think it must be some settings in the PS Element, which is not sensitive on my previous CRT, but don’t know what is it. I am not familiar with PS, so it might be a really stupid question. If you know, please help, thanks a lot!

Your color management settings are screwed up. Run Adobe Gamma again; this time, choose the correct monitor white point.

Tacit, IIRC gamma doesn’t work with LCD screens.
