this thing crashes a lot

Photoshop Elements 6.0 running on WinXPSP2, 2GB RAM. Crashes frequently, often when I’m using the eraser tool. This doesn’t happen with any other program. Any ideas?

It’s still crashing.

After all this time, one might expect Adobe to release a service pack or something to fix it. What’s the holdup?
