photoshop quiting on boot

Hey all of a sudden I am having a problem with photoshop 7.0… When it starts up at the last step of the loading screen it just exits. I have 3.06 ghz intel 4 with 512 ram. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated… I have multiple clients waiting for work…

nope didn’t work even on a fresh install.. never even got the popup to reset preferences…

Re-install doesn’t overwrite prefs.

You have to be really QUICK with the shift/control/alt.

Or you can delete the prefs file manually, that’s in the FAQs somewhere too.

Why don’t people just point new visitors with questions about deleting preferences to the best source of info?

I made note for pasting in future.
Since I hang around the Elements forum also, it’s interesting that I couldn’t find a similar detailed file in the Elements KB.

Yeah, Mac…I know what you mean.

I’ve looked several times for a similar document for the Illustrator file locations.

Got lost in the KB and barely made my way back out.
