I have a kodak 14n with a 55mm micro lens that I have been doing copy work of my old negatives with.
I’m shooting them using strobe lighting.
My copy set-up is very good, and my B&W results are great. My problem is in reversing color negatives.
It appears that I might need very heavy red filration on my lightbox to offset the film base.
All scanners that can handle film have software to deal with the reversal.
I have yet to find a stand alone P.S. plug-in that will help.

If anyone knows of one, or has any words of wisdom to share regarding this process ,
Please do.

Thanks

Ed,
Actually what you want is not red but plenty of blue light coming through the neg, so stick with the strobe. Do check for a weak blue channel once you have the image in Photoshop.

It can be done with curves in photoshop. Check out:

These curves also ship with the curvemeister curve library.
