Do 2 PS programs need 2 separate scratch discs?

If I add PS7 to PS 6 on my new drive, is one scratch disc on another drive sufficient- assuming you’d only use one at a time anyway? Thank you!

Temp files are created, on the fly by photoshop when it loads, to the drive directed in your preferences. If you deem a location appropriate for one (PS7), it is sufficient for the other (PS6). In other words, "no, you don’t need two separate drives."
