It’s moved…it’s now under windows>documents>new window
Jerome,
Not too sure what you mean, but it sounds like you are trying to use the Navigator pallet. If this is so, you probably have it turned off. If I am wrong, Jason’s solution is probably right.
To Activate:
Window>Navigator (Make sure navigator is checked)
By default, the navigator panel and info panel are on the same pallet.

Zip,
He means that in PS 6, in the menu you could View|New View. In PS7 that has been moved to Window|Documents|New View, as Jason pointed to.
Thanks Tony,
After I read Jason’s thread, I kinda thought thats what Jerome meant. I am going to have to read up on this one. Not even sure what it’s used for (I am guessing one uses this feature to edit smaller details of a photo while seeing how it will affect the whole picture).

If you are zoomed up on an image, you can use New View so that you can look at it at a different magnificaiton showing real time changes.
In general, it prevents you from having to constantly zoom in and zoom out.
That’s pretty cool. Don’t think I’ll ever use it, but nice to know something new.

Many thanks to all
Yes the new view appears to be in the documents menu
Yes its a nice way to keep from zooming in and out.
Any one have an idea how I can keep the new view ( unmagnified ) always on top?
Thanks to all again
