SUSAN–
I’m a limited user…and had the same question…
I finally figured out if I just turned COLOR MANAGEMENT off that my files would open the same way as the thumbnail…and the same way that they print…
I, of course, am ignorant of the whole monitor issue, but can’t figure out why, if the PROOF SETUP>Monitor RGB works, and COLOR MANAGEMENT>off looks the same…why the program wants to open images in the working CMYK. I would love to get more information on this subject, but am embarrassed to open a novice can-of-worms.
All the best,
Fred
