Hey guys!

I’m not too familiar with illustrator, so I’m using photoshop to create a graphic for a friend who needs a logo by tomorrow. If you think that’s short notice you can imagine my surprise. I’d like your expertise in helping me figure out how to replicate some of the design of the following logo. I’d like to know how it was made so I can make my own, inspired by the techniques they’ve used.

I’m interested in learning how to give the image shading and depth. In particular how did they add dark shading around the edges, and how do you feather the highlights?

Looks like a Layer Style was used, or coulld be used to replicate that affecyt.

Do you have a layered file to go by or not?.

I don’t have a file to go by. I found the image online when I was doing research and wanted to try to replicate the look.
