I got PSE 4.0 as a gift. Installed it on Saturday. I don’t see much difference compared to PSE 3.0
What are the major improvements?

Try the magic selection brush when you need to select a complex background… or magic extractor if you want to remove all background from a subject.

I just did a compilation of a party and used face tagging after download to easily tag images by the attendees. Now I can quickly bring up the various shots of each in the organizer and pick the best to give to each person.

There is a start, I’m sure that there are more. Adobe has a comparison on their site that highlights what they’ve added. These are the most useful to me so far.
