I’ve tried reinstalling photoshop but without any luck, I read that: "If a graphics program does not add the registration settings to the registry, Word does not list the program in the Picture editor list."
from <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211795>

it worked great before I upgraded my software from win98 with photoshop6 and word 2002. to winxp and photoshop cs2, also tried photoshop6 with word 2002 on xp without any luck.
the problem is I have old documents with images I wanna edit.

also read this article about the problem < http://wordtips.vitalnews.com/Pages/T0739_The_Default_Pictur e_Editor.html>

any help will be much appreciated

It seems that Word does not recognise the settings for Open, Edit etc, made in Windows Explorer, so you’re out of luck.
