I am recieving emails from adobe giving me tips on my free trial of adobe photoshop cs3, however It never worked after I installed it. It gives me a choice of entering serial number or free trial and when I choose free trial this is the message I get: "error in loading free trial". I keep uninstalling and reinstalling and it does the same thing. My O.S. is Windows Vista Home premium with 1 Gig of RAM and 205 Gigs of hard drive space. Can someone have any suggestions on this problem?

Not quite knowing what "everything" you’ve tried, even if you have closed IE I suggest you launch your Task Manager and ensure iexplore.exe does not appear in the list of processes. If it does, select it and kill the process. Additionally, if you use Outlook Express or Windows Messenger, I’d make certain they too are closed even though they shouldn’t invoke Internet Explorer. I assume you’re pretty much following the instructions of having all applications closed, but I thought it was worth a mention.

Malware often rides on MSIE. If MSIE is automatically starting, you should run a thorough system check for spyware and viruses.

Further to Jim’s advice a great product to add to Internet Explorer is HAUTE SECURE. It prevents websites that run exploits from loading in the first place by examining each page first. Put out by an influential group of well known Internet Security experts.

Another Problem. I am a developer using Visual Studio 2005 building COM objects. With the trial version of PhotoShop CS3 installed when I build a COM object and register it, the COM object is not recognized by other programs even though the registry entries look fine. Removing PhotoShop & rebuilding an earlier version of the COM object restores it. Note: The COM object has absolutely nothing to do with PhotoShop except that it loads a tif file created by PhotoShop.
Anybody got any ideas, had a similiar problem etc?
