Hi all
I’m a photoshop newbie, forgive me, and I have a question. Does anybody know how I can extract the colour from an image, thus making it black/white, without converting it to grayscale?
I just want part of the image to become black and white, but I wanna continue using colour on the rest of the image.

Thanx

P.

Hue and Saturation with Saturation slider all the away to the left, or(more control) Image>Adjust>Channel Mixer with Monochrome checked.

…or select a specific layer of part of your image and find "image / adjustments / desaturate"

Channel Mixer gives you the most control.

But If you want quick and easy, either convert to grayscale then back to RGB.

Or Desaturate and convert to RGB..

But Channel Mixer and Hue/Sat gives you the most control if your looking for artistic BW pics.
