I own Elements 1.1 and am having problems with jpg files saved when saved on CD’s. These files do not display on me TV.

I own NIKON 995 and CONTAX SL300R T* Cameras. When I load the photos into my computer and save unmodified photos to a CD and then display them on my TV via DVD, the photos are fine.

When I have modified them (red-eye removal)and save as jpg files, these photos do not show up on the TV screen. The DVD attempts to process them, but indicates they are unknown files.

Any assistance would be greatly appricated.

There are only two things I can think of that might cause your problem. Make sure you are saving them as JPEG images rather than TIF images or some other format. I don’t know why it is but when I have used the redeye tool Elements will not let me save the image as a JPEG unless I have flattened the image. Otherwise, it says it has to be saved as a copy. And make sure you are not saving in the JPEG2000 format because it is not very widely usable yet.

Try NOT saving thumnail with file.
If checkbox is grayed out, change Image Previews: Ask When Saving in prefs.
