"save for web" adding hyphen instead of spaces

I have an action that saves a jpeg from a PSD. I use "save for web", as it removes the EXIF information from the jpeg. I have spaces in my file names. When I run them through the action the jpegs come out fine, except instead of spaces in the file names I have hyphens. I’ve looked at the options in "save for web", but I can’t find anything that looks like it might be causing this to happen. Has anyone run into this before?

Yes, there are preferences that can be turned off. But you know that you can’t have spaces in file names on the web. Each browser handles it differently and none is elegant.

Save For Web>Edit Output Settings (little arrow below the Save box and play with the compatibility settings. I don’t have my other computer up so I can’t give you more information tonight.

Follow Larry’s advice, and uncheck Unix compatability.
