How do I copy a layer to another open tab?

I need to copy a layer from one open tab to another. I tried the Move tool to drag and drop the layer onto the other tab but that didn’t work.

in the layer panel. duplicate layer.

in the pop up target the doc you want it in.

you can dupe as many layers as you want.
