Hi,
Perhaps someone can help with a Photoshop LE problem. (only slightly OT)
I have been using LE without difficulty for some years but all of a sudden the following symtoms have appeared:
1. With an image open, RGB channel.
Image/Adjust/Levels: The graph of levels is blacked out. Image/Adjust/Curves: The curve graph is blacked out. Grid lines visible. If pencil is selected the curve line appears on the black background.
In all cases the controls are still effective, if a bit of a guess. Other menu items under Adjust are ok.
2. Unable to apply text to image or layer.
The Type Mask Tool no longer works.
Text dialogue box appears, text may be entered, but only an empty rectangle (selected area) appears on the image or layer. (pencil colour selector set to black)
For Type Tool, ditto but a black selected area appears.

I have uninstalled Photoshop LE, shut down and re installed, but the problem persists.
Recent installations of video editing software – not suspected. Suspicious of troublesome installation of Norton System Works and Personal Firewall/Anti Virus.
Any ideas?
