Hi!

When I start Photoshop CS3 on my Macbook Pro, the artboard is not there. All the panels and task bars, etc… are, but the center where the artboard should be shows my computer’s desktop.

This may be something simple, but I can’t figure out how to fix it.

I have used older versions of Photoshop on PCs, but this is a brand new CS3, design standard, just shipped from Apple.
I had no problems with the installation.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

New Mac user?

That’s just how Macs work. There is no application frame in most Macintosh applications. Open a new document and you’ll see the canvas and document.

CS4 added an application frame if you want one.

There IS an application frame in cs3 too. Just press letter F a couple of times.

s,

Sounds like you’ve migrated over from Windows. It’s as Scott says. And after a document is open, you can flip through grey and black backgrounds by hitting the F key multiple times as Nini says.
