Is it possible to create 2 BITS Gray Image using Photoshop? Please help.

A gray image is a single channel 8 bit image (256 shades)

Hi,

Thanx for the reply. I would like ro rephrase my query this way. Is it possible to create index-color image with only 4 gray level so that only two bits would be sufficent to map to one of four gray levels?
