change selection size

cant change the size of my lasso tool selection when i drag into a 2nd image. im sure its basic but if i decrease the image size of the source i loose the selection.

Can you be a little more specific as to what you are doing or trying to do? It’s not very clear to me.

have two images open. one is a landscape and the other a plant close up. i am just trying to drag the plant into the landscape but as you can probabaly guess the plant is huge. can make it smaller by making the plant image much smaller before i make the selection but what wiould be ideal would be tha ability to adjust its size after its in the collage. clear? and thanks……
