Using PS7 I have to prep some image files to be used for a print publication (via PageMaker).

A couple of the images have a very low native resolution – 34.252 pixels / inch – though the total image file is 4.3MB large. Now if I am crazy enough to increase the resolution to, say 150 pixels / inch (and get a 80MB file in the bargain) will the final printed image look OK, or will the ersatz resolution enhancement show through?

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks

Forget the pixels per inch. The only thing that matters is the size of the image in pixels. So, tell us what the image size is.
