And be glad you are not dealing with Quark, where they would gladly sell you an upgrade to 7 only if you also paid for the upgrade to 6 first.
I think Gareth my be confusing "Update" with "Upgrade".
Update=Free
Upgrade (what Gareth seems to be looking for)=Not so free
Except the upgrade to Quark 7 probably won’t hit the streets until 2012, at which time it will have a 6 percent marketshare against InDesign 7.
Bob
I’m pretty sure I need just an update. As said, I have 5.5 and I need to update it, but the updates only run from 6.0<
Quark (kwôrk, kwärk)
N.
1. Any of a group of six elementary particles having electric charges of a magnitude one-third or two-thirds that of the electron, regarded as constituents of all hadrons.
2. A has-been in the Page Layout world, with a market share soon to be one-third to two-third the size of an electron.
gareth, if you have 5.5 full version, you can order and upgrade to 7.01 for 149.00 or better if you shop around.
What graffiti said.
Gareth:
An *update* is normally a *fix* for some issues that software might have, or it’s a slight change or small addition to a program.
An *upgrade* is when you need to *buy* the next or latest version of your existing sodtware.
What you seem to looking for is an up*grade* which yes you can do, but you’ll need to pay for it.
