system-wide inverted colors

G5, OS 10.2.8, 3 GBs RAM, 23" CD.
Did I hit some strange key combination? The background of this Forum is deep blue with white writing; my mid gray desktop is a light blue.
If I open PS CS, and invert the colors of an image, it displays as it should—is there an "invert colors" for the Finder?

contol>option>cmd>8 inverts the screen (and back).

Hmm. That universal access combination seems to do more than that. It inverts the colours and then changes everything to greyscale. It sounds more like a weird/corrupt monitor profile to me.

I’d be trying Jasons suggestion first, Occam’s Razor, the simplest answer is usually the right one. ; )
