Program Crashes at Startup on Mac

I am using a Power Mac 8600 with OS 9.1 When ever I try to open the program I get error message "application could ot be opened because "application" cound not be found (-18)" All help would be appreciated

I tried all of your recommendations, and it is still not booting up. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will probably try calling Adobe.

Michael,

If you had your anti-virus software running when you installed the program, that could be the problem. It should be disabled before installation or set to NOT startup prior to. Some people have had conflicts with Norton products running in addition to the AV issue.
