Photoshop Elements 2 crashing at startup under X.3. Everything goes well until elements contacts Adobe and starts down loading 2 files after the first file is down loaded everything stops before the second file is down loaded. I removed Elements 2.0 and reinstaled. It worked for a few startups then the same thing happened again.

This came up yesterday in another thread. I found the following, which should work for you.

"…I was able to get through to customer support and they had me delete the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Web folder, which worked."

Once you’ve done this, Elements should load. As soon as it’s open, go to Edit>Preferences>Adobe Online and set the Frequency to Never. There isn’t anything on there, so the whole automatic update thing is very expendable.
