I have created an action to place my copyright in the EXIF files of photos in PS7. But when I try to Batch the action in a file of jpgs (photos), the converter stops at every photo to ask if I want to save it as a jpg and what size. This is tedious. Also, it doesn’t matter what the batch action is: if the file has not been worked on, the converter stops to ask how to save it. What is the correct way to save a file of jpgs so that it is more seemless? A thousand thanks in advance. Cliff Moore

Cliff:

This sounds counter intuitive, but I’m pretty sure this will solve your problem. In the File > Automate > Batch dialog, click ON "Override Actions ‘Save As’ Commands."

What this does in effect: Applies the .jpg settings specified when the Save As… command was recorded and ignores the folder and file name.

Batch dialog, click ON "Override Actions ‘Save As’ Commands."

And make sure the Save As portion of the action has the dialog toggled off otherwise you’re only overriding location and filename stored with the action…

Thanks! It works like a charm now. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve saved because of your suggestions. Best wishes, Cliff Moore
