I’ve scanned some old photos and they look very grained. Does anyone know a quick way of cleaning them?

Agree with RSD99 re suggestions. To supplement RSD99’s list, suggest making careful comparisons between "Ninja" and "Neatimage". In most instances Neatimage consistently produces images with a more plastic character. Often OK for portraits but many other images suffer. For fewer $$, as I see it, both are subjectively better than the Kodak GEM professional (not previously mentioned). Paid for and use all, but "Ninja" is most used for the most pathological images.

That’s entirely up to the user. I only reduce noise, but avoid eliminating it altogether, by slightly reducing the amount of luminance noise removal. Both programs can perform miracles, but the user should not exaggerate.
