This question is related to the Font layer in Photoshop , just incase a releavance cannot be seen.

Does any one know what the DEFAULT font used for the DOS box in WINDOWS looks like, its called Fixedsys.

I want to know does the MAC OS 8/9/X have this font also as a System Core font (not installed by extra apps).. Is it called something else (os system name) or what is it most similar one on the MAC ?…

By default, it’s a fixed-pitch bitmap font, with a half-dozen sizes, in the OEM Codepage (437, 850, 851…). At smaller sizes, it looks much like a text-mode font from VGA ROM; at larger sizes, it gets small serifs. You can also use Courier New.

The Actual question was the following (last paragraph), I was merely describing my intentions in that paragraph.
