I have version 1 of PhotoShop Elements and am considering getting version 2. The system requirements listed here don’t specify whether for version 1 or 2. Do I assume correctly that the Photoshop Elements listed on the Adobe site is version 2 and that version 1 is no longer listed?

I need it to run on OS 9.2.

Yes, version 1 is obsolete. PSE2 will run on either OS 9 or OS X. Definitely do get the upgrade!
