This must be an old question.

I am a Mac user with OS 10.3 Jaguar.

I have a number of fonts in my USERNAME > LIBRARY > FONTS, and in my LIBRARY
FONTS folders that are not available in my Photoshop CS and InDesign CS
menus.

How can I get access to them?

Thanks in advance.

Ed, I’m not a MAC person, so this might not apply at all, but in the M$ OSs, the font must be installed, before applications, like PS, AI, etc. can use them. In those other (evil?) OSs, just residing on the system, do not constitute their being loaded by the OS. Hope that a MAC person will see my response and correct me, thus, hopefully helping you.

For educational purposes, how does one "load" fonts on a MAC? Is it basically (though I’ll bet easier) the same as on PC?

Good luck,

Well basically it’s drag and drop. ttf fonts are converted to Mac fonts by OSX. Simply drag into the fonts folder and there you go. I can’t find a fonts folder within Photoshop so I’m guessing it uses the generic fonts available to all apps.
Try moving the ‘missing’ fonts onto the desktop. Restart them move them back.
BTW Which fonts are missing?

PS 10.3 is called Panther. 10.2 is Jaguar.
