In my work, if the pictures are going to be printed, I save the final file as an EPS file so that my RIP will take the file and print it to my 7600.
I’ve just been reading about saving EPS files in the CS2 User Manual (although I actually use CS3) and I’m uncertain now of my saving settings.
I always thought that the settings in the Encoding section only affected the preview image, not the whole file, but the manual does not make this clear. I usually choose JPG (Medium Quality) over ASCII as it saves a smaller file, but is this at the expense of final printed quality or just the preview?
