Hello – I’m hopeful that someone can point me in the right direction.

I’ve taken pictures with my Canon EOS 20D that are the highest resolution possible.

I want to crop and resize the cropped portion to 640 x 480 for viewing on a LCD picture photo frame.

I’ve tried using the crop utility, but cannot get it to crop in fixed ratio so that the cropped portion converts to the 640×480 resolution.

Any ideas?

What am I doing wrong.

I’m using PSE2.

Thanks,
Chris

Click on the crop tool

In the boxes that appear in the tool bar at the top :-

WIDTH 640px HEIGHT 480px Resolution (what ever you want 72 may be alright) pixels/inch in the last box

Run the crop tool over the image and it will crop the area to these sizes.

HTH.

You could just resize the image. It will allow you to keep the ratio you want.

Thanks Bob – but I don’t want the whole image. I want to cut a piece out of the image, and have that piece be 640×480.

Sandy’s suggestion worked perfectly.

Thanks!
