I am using Elements 4.0.

Is there a way to edit out the reflected light on a pair of eyeglasses in the picture?

Thanks

Drew

Cloning is the most common method used where little bits of photo area are copied to cover the damaged areas and "patch" it. This takes practice. Another method that can work is to copy the eyes and eye glasses area from another photo of the same person that didn’t show the glare as bad. Of course, the very best method is to re-take the photo with better lighting.

yes but we need more info. Careful use of rubber stamp is one way.

In addition to Charley’s recommendations, good ones by the way, you might try selecting the area and working on brightness and contrast.

The real problem is there may not be anything there. It is not easy to clone something when you don’t have a good original to clone from or the try and bring out an image from what little may still be there behind the glare.

I know this is not always possible, but if you have the opportunity watch for possible glaring glasses and if you find them, try tipping the back of the glasses up off the ears. That usually can eliminate the glare.
