Healing brush should help. also duplicating the good eye and flipping it opposite can help sometimes, but you need to get the orientation/angle etc just right. sometimes tipping the frames up near the back will help avoid glare to start with, but cant you see it with the modeling lights first? maybe you dont have modeling lights. also, try having them tip their heads inward toward each other a bit to get a more loving feel. just some ideas to ponder.

If you flip the eye you get wierdness. The eye is not symetrical. When you glance left, for instance both eyes move in the same direction. flipping one will get crosseyed.

I dont do it that often, but i have done it without the wierdness you reference. i am talking about taking the opposite eye,no glare, and flipping it to be the same as the other side in reverse and then making fine adjustments to place it exactly. it doesnt work as easy as if it was straight on view, but you can pull it off i believe most of the time.

You have to move the iris to avoid the cross-eyed effect, not an obvious task

Absolutly! I had the exact same problem to solve, and what I did was to get another photo of the person with the glare and layer it in. The glasses have to be right also.

Donald thanks for the advice.I have another pic almost same pose with less glare that i layered that and it helped.I will try all of the above to get best results, this is more of a learning experience for me.I do have shots without the glare that i will give to the models.I twisted thier heads every way but the right way.The lady on the left was more worried about the fat under her chin or on her neck to hold her pose the way i needed to get rid of glare.Granny on the right she was a great model just something stupid that i did.I will play around with these ideas. thank you all

Its always interesting what some people feel the need to do to make themselves appear better. you could either use the liquify tool on her neck or tell her to keep her hand out of the cookie jar next time.

Replacing a ‘bad’ eye by a mirrored ‘good’ eye
isn’t always entirely convincing:

A rather old experiment, maybe ten years ago.

To avoid this, put an Omni-Bounce on your flash and swing it upwards. (indoors, that is).

One of the things I’ve used in a pinch is to ask the model or subject to tilt their glasses down by lifting them off their ears a bit. This changes the angle of reflection and the flash is reflected down rather than straight back. Although this is preventative and you are asking for a fix.

I use Photoshop 7, and used the clone stamp, and the healing brush for the glasses and eyes, there were a lot of artifacts because of the low resolution so I used the blur tool to soften some of those.. then levels and sharpened.. although at 72 resolution I don’t think it will print out well.. but anyway, the results are at: http://tinyurl.com/y4wtpl this took about 5 min to do so I am sure YOU can do it!! Practice, Practice, Practice…

I totally agree and do the same thing Richard, some people think I am crazy for asking them to lift the earpieces up a little, just a finger width off the ears.. but are happy with the results and I have much less to fix later..

You can also clone from another unaffected picture if it was a studio session.

I am sorry for all the double post made by me here.. BUT, I always read here first and somehow it does not click in my feeble brain that when I answer here it is not shown on the "Adobe Forum" Soooo, after I post here I usually say, " Awww, Shit.. I did it again" and go there to see if by some miracle it shows up.. and of course it doesn’t, so I post it there with a few changes and it shows up here again… Sorry guys.. I will get it right someday!!
