I don’t use photoshop (7) much but I have a problem with adjusting levels. The photo is dark, with a light area on one side. If I cut the side of the picture and chouse levels the is a clear are on the left of the histogram that is zero. If I move the level in the picture is restored. If I take the original and create a rectangle the levels only apply to the rectangle. I thought I could create a rectangle and use the levels within that to bring up the picture. A sort of use this area as a guide to the whole pictur? if that makes sense?
