Photoshop 8 CS and eps files

Hello, I’m trying to open EPS files from photoshop 8 CS and when I open them all I get is a blank page.
I’m running Photoshop on a MAC OS X (10.3.4) and Photshop is version 8.0 CS.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

You may have better luck posting your question to the main Photoshop forum.

This is the forum for Photoshop Elements, which is a separate program. There ARE a few regulars who post in this forum who use both Elements and CS, so it is possible you’ll get some advice, here…

….but you’ll be more on-target in the other forum.

Where do the EPS files come from?

Most of the files were created using either Illustrator 9.0 or Illustrator CS.

How were these EPS files saved? Binary encoding with a Preview?

Try re-opening and re-saving them in Illustrator.

Also, try and save them as .AI rather than .EPS files.
