I’ve read on the forums about problems with PS CS (and Illustrator CS for that matter) having problems parsing eps files. None of the situations fit me exactly.
I regularly need to open some very old eps files. Some were created in Illustrator 3, some Photoshop 2. When I open them in CS versions I get a blank page. The only way I can get the files is to use Illustrator 10 and PS 7, save them, open them in CS, save again. This way they are updated for use but is there a way to do this in one step, using CS, instead of several, using old programs? What is the problem most likely causing this?
