color matching issues

I’m working in CS3 Web premium. I had to make jpgs for a rollover link in photoshop to drop in Dreamweaver. The black background in Dreamweaver and Photoshop are off a couple of shades and this shows when viewing in a browser. Is there a preference to color match across the apps as I run into this often.

hello,

dreamweaver is not color managed, so on a mac, it will apply your monitor profile

the short answer is to

calibrate/profile monitor to 2.2 gamma, d65/6500

convert to sRGB before Save For Web or importing in dreamweaver
