I just bought a Macbook Pro and I’m confounded by how it handles Raw photo files. I uploaded some images from my Sony Alpha DSLR to my new Mac. I can find both the Raw and JPG versions of my photo within iPhoto but while the image has a "RAW" extension, it seems to have been converted into a Hybrid JPG, If I drag it onto my desktop it converts into a JPG. If I try to import it into a RAW converter app, the app treats it like a JPG. How can I get the real RAW file so I can control the conversion into a Tiff myself.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
