Second Request ? How to open Nikon Scan v4.0.2 NEF files in CS

When I try to open a film scan saved as a ‘NEF’from my Nikon Coolscan IV ED in CS, I get error message ‘Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of file’. Maybe a plugin? Nonetheless, – Bob

The error message is correct I would guess – Photoshop cannot open these files – they are not the same as Raw NEF files from a digital camera. Either save as TIFF or scan directly into PS (the best option really in my opinion).
