No PS7 or earlier on the machine.

I do not know what this is so I guess my answer would be no.
ok. just getting some clarification. so it seems the bridge might be doing something to keep the files open longer than necessary.

That is my thinking, but I certainly am no expert, that possibly after changes are made the files are not updating quickly enough so that when a ‘save’ command is given the above message is produced.
well we know from developer comments that brige updates the thumbnails incrimentally so as to allow a quicker display of the thumbs. apparently it does it in several passes, with each pass getting better and better quality. so while it might seem to be completely refreshed, in reality, it’s still building those higher quality thumbnails. maybe… 🙂
a solution might be to either close bridge when this occurs, or to temporarily switch to another folder…
Dave:
This occurs after all thumbs have been loaded and/or created in Bridge. Open image(s) from Bridge make tweaks then hit Ctrl + S, sometimes there is an immediate save other times I will get the error message one, two, three and sometimes even a forth time before the file is saved. This is a real production slow down. If I close the Bridge after opening each image then each time I want to open a different image I have to reopen the Bridge I essentially have to wait for the Bridge to reload the thumbs. If this is the case then I am better off working from another image browser like iView and opening images from iView into CS2.
This report seems to be the same problem: PS CS2 Temp files not removed on closing , "PS CS2 Temp files not removed on closing" #1, 3 May 2005 11:40 am </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>
I don’t think it is directly related to the Bridge or batch processing alone.
Cheers, Rags 🙂
I’m getting the same message. If I wait a second and re-try it usually will save. However, I’ve had to try as many as 3 times to get it to work. Closing Bridge each time doesn’t seem to be a solution.
Anyone ever come up with any solutions on this pain in the neck problem?
It’s a Bridge bug.
See the Bridge forum for more details.
Chris:
Do you have a link I do not see it right off.
Thanks,

Chris:
I found the forum ok, I just could not find the thread you are referring to.
