I downloaded photoshop CS trial version and uninstalled it yesterday after playing with it for 3 weeks. However, my gamma on PS 7.01 is now gone. Is it "normal" for this to happen? Do I need to resintall ps 7? The gamma funtion has disappeared from control panel of my windows (xp), and I guess there is no way to get it back except for an reinstall. Am I right or is there a better way to get it back? Thanks for help.

Mike,

Unless you selected NOT to uninstall shared files, then Yes, adobe gamma will have been uninstalled.

You can do a search of your HDD for Adobe Gamma.cpl, but if it’s not there (and it is unlikely to be) you will need to re-install Photoshop 7. (You shouldn’t need to un-install first, just re-install over the top of itself)

it’s also possible that uninstalling cs simply removed adobe gamma from the startup menu. if you DO find it in the control panel simply recreate (can you reapply) your existing gamma and the applet will recreate the shortcut in the startup folder for you.
