Hi

I need to have a small graphic (Gif) that will eventually go over a gradient background on my website (http://www.ultimate-top-trumps.co.uk) but when I use it it has a broken/jagged white rim. How do I get rid of this as it makes the thing look really crap.

Many thanks

Nig

You need to set the matte color to a color the same or similar to the web background. It’s in the Save for Web dialog.

you may also use PNG instead of GIF but you have to add a special script for the alpha channel(transparency) to be displayed correctly on IE

more info on:

what is png? = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PNG
alpha what??= JavaScript
