Quicker:

Yes, Print Screen key – then in Photoshop, (which can already be open but minimised):

CTRL+N > CTRL+V

CTRL+N – New image – Photoshop automatically sets the canvas to the size of whatever is on the clipboard, then

CTRL+V – Paste.

The clipboard contents are pasted as a layer on top of the blank canvas, so if you’re not using layers, Flatten Image: ALT+L+F

Learning Photoshop’s keyboard shorcuts don’t arf speed things up BTW.
