I am new to PS. Wondering how to take 2 images and align them side-by-side into one jpeg image. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Your images may be JPG files, but once they’re in Photoshop, they are just images. When you save them, it should probably be in either PSD or TIF format so they won’t degrade in the editting process, via the lossy , jpg compression algorithm .

If you have the images open in Photoshop, check the Resolution of each, using the Image > Image Size dialogue . They need to be the same resolution if you expect them to maintain their current screen size when combined. Open a new image using File > New dialogue, setting the size large enough to hold both images, and the resolution the same as the images’ resolution.

Drag each image, in turn to the New document, and push and pull them into the position you want.

Save the New document as the name of your choice, but use either the TIF or PSD format , so you don’t lose any graphics info due to compression .

If this seems wordy, it’s because I’m definitely no teacher. Take a look at <http://www.arraich.com/table_of_contents.htm> , where Jay Arraich has a lot of useful information and tutorials.
