From a novice, so the reason may be simple

Was doing a tutorial from the web, and downloaded an image (as required) in the top left corner of the image was two small grey icons 1x the number 01 the other is icon for a mountain?

Now any of my images I open in photoshop has these icons!

Can anyone advise how to get rid of them?

Thanks in advance Les

It’s got to do with slices, I suppose. In the menu go to "View" -> "Show", and uncheck "Slices".
