Camera/Scanner TWAIN Issue

I was running Win2k (SP3) and could happily scan with my Epson Perfection 626 SCSI and download images from my Canon A10 USB. I recently migrated new a drive with a fresh install of Win2k (SP4) and the same version of software for each device. Now, I can no longer import from these devices into Photoshop or any other application. The camera is not detected and the scanner is either "not ready" or "does not support in memory transfers". I should note that Device Manager does detect both devices and reports they are working correctly. Any suggestion as to what could be causing this? I have uninstalled/reinstalled each devices software to no end.
