Unable to save files in CS3

I am hoping somebody can help me with my problem. I use CS3 and all of a sudden I am no longer able to save any of my edits. At first "save is" function stopped working – once I click on "save is" the window pops up for a split second and disappears, which results in CS3 locking up and freezing. And now (a couple hours later) my "save" function is doing the same 🙁

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
